I believe in beautiful homes that come together over time and tell your story.

Hi! I'm Elizabeth Petersen, and its time I start sharing my home design process, because its something I work on and do everyday. I live with my husband and three kids on 2 1/2 acres of heaven in rural Oregon. We have a 1920s craftsman farmhouse, a little cottage guest house, a barn and chicken house. And we have more projects than we can keep up with. :)

When I was a kid, I would spend hours sifting through BHG magazines and drawing dream house plans on graph paper. One day, I'll share some plans that I still have circa 2002. I would check out every DIY book I could get my hands on. I love to thrift and repurpose and when I'm feeling especially brave (and insomnia-tic) I tackle an upholstery project. So expect to be inspired to reduce, reuse, recycle here. It's just a small way I try to love the planet, in a world full of consumption.

My room designs rarely come together all at once, its more of a slow migration over time until I'm satisfied. But I do love a mood board road map. I can envision the space pretty quickly but am satisfied with taking it slow and seeing how things evolve. I'm excited to finally have a place for all those details to be documented!

Thanks for following along, this going to be fun!

xoxo, Elizabeth
