It's the little details.

Have you ever heard the phrase, "what a difference a year makes"? It's a way of saying time is all you really need to get some perspective. I know that's been true for me this year. I started this bathroom project one year ago. I also went through some of the most stressful and exhausting moments of my adult life in this last year as well, with simply too much on my plate-- teaching full-time, finishing my masters, coaching tennis, running our outdoor school program and our high school leadership program, and trying to keep everything together for my family. It was like running a marathon for months on end.

But time has done it's thing.

I've completed those things, and this bathroom project, and I feel so much lighter.

I know what I need for next year. to choose more time for my family and say no to the things that don't fit.

I'm enjoying the looking back, the progress, and the power of change. But I'm embracing the looking forward, the knowing more than I knew before.
